With humanity steeped in wickedness, God decided to cleanse the earth with a flood—but found favor in Noah, a righteous man. God commanded Noah to build an enormous ark, providing precise dimensions and instructions.

Noah obeyed, and when the floodwaters came, he, his family, and two of every living creature found refuge inside the ark. After forty days and nights of torrential rain, the waters receded, and God established a covenant with Noah, symbolized by a rainbow, promising never to destroy the earth by flood again.
