Samson’s final act of strength comes only after years of personal failures and betrayal—his sacrifice bringing down the enemies of Israel even as it costs him his life.

Samson, whose great strength was a divine gift, was repeatedly compromised by his weaknesses. His entanglement with Delilah led to his capture and humiliation by the Philistines. Yet, in his final moments, when his hair—the source of his strength—had begun to regrow, Samson called on the Lord one last time.
With one final act of sacrifice, he toppled the pillars of a great temple, killing many of his enemies and redeeming his legacy as a judge of Israel.
