The Creation
God creates the heavens, the earth, and all living things in an orderly sequence over six days, establishing the foundations of life and beauty.
Creation
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. Then God spoke: "Let there be light," and there was light. God separated the light from the darkness and named them Day and Night.
Over the next days, He created the sky, dry land, vegetation, the sun, moon, and stars, as well as the creatures of the sea, birds of the sky, land animals, and finally, human beings made in His image. On the seventh day, God rested, sanctifying the day as a pattern for rest and worship.
